Hello! I’m currently looking to put in some hours with an appraiser in the El Paso, Tx and/or Las Cruces, NM area. I’m a trainee.
I have called around and asked and everybody I talk to says they’re busy with work but can’t take on a trainee at the moment. I also joined the Rio Grande chapter for the Appraisal Institute and no one seems to want to take on trainee or have their hands full with a couple already.
I have had 2 offers, one in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area and the other in Clovis, NM area but at a very low pay which wouldn’t be bad if that pay was here in the El Paso area because my cost of living is low here at the moment. I will provide my resume on request and here is a quick background on my work history. I’m currently a loan officer at a local credit union and I worked also as a mortgage loan officer near Dallas where I was licensed in 9 states and have over 10 years of sales and customer service experience. I feel like the only thing holding me back is that I only have an associates degree at the moment but I’m 2 college courses away from having the necessary amount of college course work to be able to have a certified residential appraiser license after being a licensed appraiser of course.
If anyone can connected me with an appraiser in this area or would like to take on a trainee themselves it would be highly appreciated, thank you in advance. My email is Nehemiah.Rocha@gmail.com I have also completed the first 75 hours of course work to be a license trainee.
