BPO is a form

I am reading this thread and wondering why not perform BPO's. It is just a form. If an appraiser is completing the assignment, it is an appraisal. We already know that there is no form that is USPAP compliant. If the necessary lingo was added what is the problem?

Comments posted on this forum will not rise to a level of action required to promote the professional intentions of our profession. Although the experienced intelligent contributors offer positive commentary and guidance, the cumulative commentary seems to resign towards complacency and inaction.

If the Appraisal Institute (AI) or the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAFIA) were to rise to their mission statements, then we would experience a real professional balance. I understand the pursuit of entreprenueral freedom is tempered by the reality of economic stability. However, each step towards economic stability (or viability as it pertains to the challenges of this industry) must include an effort to correct the misgivings while promoting the future.
