AQB Certified USPAP Instructor - Finally

Yeah, yeah, before you know it, you USPAP instructors will be a dime a dozen.

I want to see some pricing competition between you folks for cheaper Con-Ed. :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

But seriously, Congratulations. I hope some day to aspire (before I expire) to such lofty heights.:clapping:

Well you can add one more to the list...I caved in and recertified for one more cycle. I, too, had to take the class twice. Thank God for Danny Wiley...an instructor's instructor, he presented the course in a manner that I could understand. The on-line re-certification course went pretty smoothly...kinda boring actually as I prefer live instruction.

Am scheduled for a 7 and 15 hour next month. Want to bet the 15 hour gets canceled? Kaplan has three locations in Colorado and there was only one instructor unless I re-certified. Don't think she wanted to teach in all three locations. Thankfully, I don't need the work as the VA is still keeping me jumping.

It does look good on your resume. Colorado has started a remedial training program for those appraisers who have run afoul of the appraisal board. I think the state likes using those with a good knowledge of USPAP to act as review appraisers for that program. Have been getting a number of calls from those needing supervision.

It is a rather dwindling cadre and looks like it will be getting smaller rather than larger. Will be interested in seeing the numbers after the first of the month. It looked like about a 30% drop in the number of instructors.

I think The Appraisal Foundation aught to create a nice label pin for USPAP Instructors. I have shadow box with real estate pins I have worn. It includes: REALTOR, GRI, CRB, RAA, 25 year pin, 30 year pin, even an old IREA pin. Would like to add a AQB Certified USPAP Instructor pin. Anyone remember the NAR RAP pin? Have one of those too. REALTORS® Active in Politics pin. Was presented a sterling silver and torquoise REALTOR® pin by the ERA brokers of New Mexico...it needs some polishing!

Way to go Mike. You will be glad you did.

Now if I can just be enthusiastic about the profession! Seriously, that has been my biggest draw back according the reviews. "Instructor wasn't very encouraging about the future of the business for trainees". Or, "Instructor scared me talking about losing a license and paying big fines if I don't follow USPAP".

Well....duh!

That indicates you are doing an excellent job IMHO. :new_smile-l:
