While looking up a reference for a post, I noticed an oversight by FREAB in the rules for appraisers, specifically 61J1-9. It seems the 2006 USPAP is still in effect in Florida.
61J1-9.001 Standards of Appraisal Practice.
All registered, licensed, or certified appraisers shall comply with the 2006 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), which is incorporated by reference.
Specific Authority 475.613(2), 475.628 FS. Law Implemented 475.613(2), 475.628 FS. History–New 8-29-06.
Seems rather embarrassing to me. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

looks like a good loop-hole if ever needed.....

uhhhh....oops!

A little knowledge is dangerous

I posted in the other thread so here goes again. 61J1-9 has already been posted for rules workshop to clear this up. Also Florida appraisers should remember that Statutes take precendence over Rules and the statute would allow enforce of the current USPAP.

Dennis - but that's no fun!
