ASC In Chaos?

everyone gets a drivers license...there is only 80,000 or so with an appraisal license so your comparative skills are limited :rof:

Whether they are or aren't guilty of any allegations is immaterial in a discussion of what these entities are and what they do/don't have the authority to do.

You talk about people as if that matters. As if you or anyone else can be assumed to be any better or any more moral than any of them. I talk about how these entities are structured to perform regardless of who works there.
 
Well then they should get off this no-diversity aspect. Not one state denies any minority the chance to enter the profession. . Limit it to sending info to all states.

What is a state board suppose to do, go around to all the high Schools on career day? Maybe do a an advertising campaign. Maybe send all all NC County school systems material about career in the appraisal business. We only have 100 counties.
 
I think we can all agree the ASC serves no purpose to even exist and needs shut down. The same with TAF it's Ship has Sailed. Finally close down State Boards and end the bureaucracy once and for all.

In what world would you expect the ASC to act against the mandates coming down from the rest of the Executive Branch of the federal govt? The ASC is not structured to perform as an unbiased 3rd party. They are an agent and advocate for the administration's policies.

I think [isolated from all politics] is a completely unrealistic expectation for any federal entity. Or any administrative entity at any level of local, county or state govt.

A dog has to be a dog and a cat has to be a cat.

they are as useless as USPAP...and the AMC :rof:
 
That's a good point. Exe branch can and does many unpredictable actions.
 
I'm just suggesting that instead of basing our expectations of their actual conduct on the aspirational - (what they should do if only people were better than that) - we might get a little less angry and frustrated if we based our expectations on what we know of human nature (what they probably will do because they aren't better than that). That's not an excuse for misconduct but it might somewhat offset the emotional outrage factor.
