I clicked on the link to their website, where is the area to write comments? I found it, an email will send comments today .

You have to email them directly. The email adress is on the link. They ask you if you want your comments to be publicly published...they give you the option to keep your comments private.

Just emailed them. Did not ask to keep comments private. So will see, at least I did my part thanks for the link.

If you don't know enough after 25 inspections to know when you need help, then you ain't gonna know it after 2,500 inspections. It isn't the number of inspections that really matters,

It's the total appraisal process over 25 that matters, beyond the inspections themselves. Imo, reducing inspection requirement to below 25 is more about the mentor than the trainee, by allowing a bunch of out for profit mentors to take on trainees since they can send them out after a scant month or so of inspections will end up impacting who is training and thus will new people gain knowledge and experience , or just sent to run around on properties to make $ for supervisor.

A rule changing allowing a trainee to inspect alone/sign as license after only 25, means a flood of so called "mentors" will take on new licenses who they don't intend to train, but can run them around on inspections or write ups to collect a fee off them.

In a week or two they will send you an email asking if you want your comment private or publicly published...

Which do you recommend? Did you leave your comments up for public view?

There isn't just one thing that will fix the problem. If there was just one thing I would have to put fees at the top of the list. We have to fix C& R first. You can lower standards until the cows come home but that won't give either the mentor any motivation for training or the trainee any financial motivation to enter the profession.

I still think a typical appraisal fee should be in the $800 range. And sadly appraisers are in the fight of their lives just to get paid $300.00.

That's some good PR work JT.
