Looking for feedback on Data Master, Spark, Aloft and others. Thanks.

Spark has been mentioned more on different threads here. I love it.

I use Spark. The Spark app itself isn't going to give you what you're looking for. They (TrueFootage) have a new app for data analysis called True Tracts. They don't have all MLS's up and running yet. There's a free data analysis app out there (Valuation Labs) that does pretty good once you figure out how to do the uploads (https://valuation-labs.streamlit.app/). Haven't used DataMaster in quite some time. Have never used the Appraiser's Toolkit offering (Aloft). Currently taking George Dell's class on data analysis. Class is ok, but what makes it an invaluable class is that its based on an introduction to R and R Studio - a REALLY powerful (and free) data analysis software. Pretty steep learning curve with this one, though.

Spark and Synapse gives the sparkly puffery GSEs and UWs like to see or do it on your own. Saves me time so I love it

quick question for you...why does the standard spark app not do what the True Footage one does? Thanks

They're just different applications. Spark will assist with the 1004mc, but that's about the extent of its market analysis. True tracts (same parent company as Spark) goes more into data analysis. Its not up and running for my MLS yet, so I haven't has a chance to test it.

I tested Aloft and Spark. I did not like Aloft. In fact, the tutorial actually shows how to manipulate the data by pulling quality ratings out of the air for each property. 3.4, 3.6. 3.8 all are objective ratings for each individual property. I am not a fan of depreciated cost to support adjustments. I think market based adjustments are more reliable. I am still using Spark, but the jury is still out on it.

I used Datamaster from 2016 to 2020. It is a good service but it had issues with Clickforms, my appraisal software. I dropped them but might be alright for you to check out.

I spent some time tonight exploring the statistics tools and training videos on my MLS and am more impressed by that than Data Maser or Sprak. plus, I won't have to pay a monthly fee for yet another product -- I am going to play with it all weekend; if I need it, I will call MLS on Monday to see if there is a tutor available, but the training videos look pretty good, so I might not need it.
