The ASC, a failed experiment, is on the verge of total collapse. It’s time for TAF to make the same decision. We need a complete overhaul of the system—no more cronyism, no more stakeholder manipulation, and no more micromanagement. The process needs a fresh start.

I doubt if even 500 appraisers Nation Wide would even know if they disappeared and in fact outside this and another forum i never hear them mentioned.

But if they do disappear the new operation will be much larger and need a lot more money and business trips to fulfill it's mission. I doubt you will be happy because it will just be a revised version feeding more people and result in higher fees passed on to appraisers.

And who cares? The issue is that there is no regulatory system currently in place. At least not one for the 21st century.

So the money center banks and the GSEs who are the biggest users who are going to create the new regulatory divisions over appraisers . The appraisers are not going to be the new visionaries of change so you may wish they had left it alone.

But yes agree big changes are coming and that's due to the new boards at Fannie Mae and new HUD leader. The big boys are moving in.
