C drive is almost filled

Alamode told me a couple of years ago when i was switching computers that some of the program has to be on the C Drive for some reason, I wanted to move it all to the D drive but if i recall the files could be in D or E but the program the way it is written needed to be in C.

55 GB of 110 GB is Alamode related. The images in reports seem to be eating a bunch of the space. The rest is down to Windows related stuff I dont want to delete.

Im down to 1 GB and have to delete some pictures or files every week just to keep it running. I have plenty of room on D and F drives. I cant expand my C drive.

Do I have options other than getting a new computer? Would downloading Alamode on D or F and deleting on C remedy this or not possible?

I realize this isnt a tech forum but some of you are good at this. Thx.
For a complete and correct answer, please post a link of your current machine (store link with what's inside the computer).

Really need to know what we are working with. Can we simply change the tires or are you still on wooden rims. May be time to buy a new rig.

In a perfect situation, $25 could change your life with an M2 ssd (https://tinyurl.com/2p9523m4), for those frugal appraiser who require the cheapest of cheap, top of the bottom shelf options. But I doubt your computer has that 'plug'... Welcome to 2022.

Portable harddrive - Western Digital Passport 2 TB at Walmart for $79. Every now and then you can get it on sale for $60. All my reports stay on the PC, but all images are stored on external drive. I'm not sure about Total, but my software lets me specify which drive/folder to save my files. I suppose I could save even more space if I just saved reports to the same folder on the external drive, but I just prefer to transfer all the stuff during the "spring cleaning". I have a Passport for every year. At the end of the 5 year cycle just wipe the oldest one and start over. No power supply needed. Just plug and play via usb cable so pretty simple. Also have a separate WD MyBook for personal photos, videos, large documents/files, etc. My computer is 10 years old with 500GB, but I have never even gone past half that using these methods.

Have you deleted your .BZ1 and
ZTL files? These are just backups. You only need the actual wintotal reports.

The other thing I do is any file I know I won't need anymore goes to an external drive. That is in addition to my backup on a different external drive. I always have 2 copies of all my work related stuff.

Would not suggest storing active files on ext drives, may be sluggish. Just put older fines there.
