To save my soul, I can't find the acronymn "CAMS" anywhere! With regard to commercial leases, what does "CAMS" stand for? Thanks.

Kevin:

Here's a hint -- Use Google -- or one of the other search engines... A Google search for the terms, "CAM Commercial lease" results in

CAM defined or referenced

FYI Google tends to place the 'For Dummies' up in the top ten on such boolean searches, and I find that source is often my first-best for answers when it comes up - further explanations or sources are mere seconds and a click or two away!:flowers:

Lee Ann, here's a hint: Learn to read. As I stated in my original post, I was unable to find the answer after about 5 or 6 Google searches for "CAMS." Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people? People feel like they can act like complete jerks under the cover of the internet. It's pretty sad and pathetic.

Hey Kevin,

Maybe you should be polite to someone who is trying to teach you HOW TO USE GOOGLE.

Learn how to do a proper search

You were looking for info on "CAM's" and you knew it had to do with commerical leases

So here is what YOU SHOULD HAVE TYPED

"CAM"+"Lease" or you could have used Lee Ann's method.

That would have given you your answer.

The point is you have no clue how to properly use Google or run a boolean search.

I was actually amazed that nobody pointed out that someone who doesn't know what "CAM" is really has no business trying to do a commercial appraisal. It's kind of like not knowing the definition of "NOI" or "cap rate".

PL,

I let that slide because it says he is a trainee. I applaud the OP's desire to learn. I detest that he attackes someone how is trying to help.

Dennis, I did do those searches and I wasn't finding the definition! I kept finding "CAMS" with no definition or other definitions--there are literally hundreds of acronymns for "CAMS." Jesus ***king Christ. Sorry for asking.

By the way, I work in multifamily. We get maybe 3 straight-up commercial projects per year, usually from the Federal government.

Wow, Federal Government jobs. You must be important.

By the way nice language. You have shown yourself to be a class act.

Good bye.
