Westfield Wheaton Lines Up Buyer As Appraisal Chops Value By 66%​

Westfield appears to have struck a deal to sell its beleaguered, 1.6M SF mall in Wheaton, Maryland.

I would be interested to hear from those that are doing AG appraisals what the cap rates are for vacant farmland in their area. Here they are only 1.9-2.2 roughly.
2.0-2.5 in central IN.

What's interesting is that farmers will pay $12K/ac for 200 bu. corn acreage and pay the bank $400-500 per acre in interest but these same farmers whine and btch about paying $275/ac for rent, telling (lying to) the landowners that they can't afford $300. They don't mind paying the bank $400+ on the ground they just bought but claim 'there's no way' they can afford to pay the owner $300.
