Methinks you are not using the Design/Style drop down screen correctly........at least that's how alamode works...........so I can't speak for the others.
But you may have to abbreviate the 'name' of the style to fit the entry field box.
The software should not be changing what you type. If it is, you have a serious problem and need to jump on the software vendor's tech support.
