I did a Liquidation Appraisal for JPMorgan Chase Bank - that was six months ago and never got paid. Over and over I call their offices and no one will direct me to their accounting department. I am warning you all...never do a liquidation for Chase Bank if you want to get paid. I even asked them to direct me to their legal department, they wouldn't.

You can file a complaint to the FDIC but don't worry, if you do, they will file a complaint against you to the state board. Write it off and remember the name. PS - you will probably get this thread moved to the Good, Bad, Ugly

Was this a VA Liquidation? If so, contact your RLC for payment assistance.

Good luck!

You DO Not Want Their Legal department- Even If They Paid They Take No Prisoners :)

JPMChase is an SOB when it comes to trying to get payment. We used to be able to email them an invoice, W9 and 1805 case-by-case and we got paid every time.

Now we're apparently no longer allowed to do that anymore. I just sent them some past dues yesterday from earlier this year (most recent was August) and got an email in return that showed this email address as a way to try to collect ongoing past dues (which is how JPMChase apparently does business: order the appraisal, get the appraisal back, wait until they've been hounded by us (and maybe the VA) for weeks and months, and then they finally get around to paying. I've managed to collect from them for as far back as 2 years once the VA got on board in some really latent cases

Anyway: ip.invoice.research@jpmchase.com. Good luck.

These stories about a bank like Chase not paying is very unusual to me. Did they have any issues with the appraisal? Or did they order and accept the appraisal without saying anything and then not pay?

A liquidation appraisal or an REO appraisal? Never heard of a bank ordering a "liquidation appraisal", what does that even mean? An appraisal with liquidation value as the type of market value they wanted?

Hi Sharon, Can your State Appraisal Board help guide with BANK related Unpaid Appraisal Services? JPM Chase = a bank = the OCC.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is an independent bureau within the United States Department of the Treasury that was established by the National Currency Act of 1863 and serves to charter, regulate, and supervise all national banks and thrift institutions and the federally licensed branches and...

Also there are many threads here regarding the SAME issue = research past threads. Good Luck
