Chat GPT-4o - New Version, MacOS Desktop App

If you have a MacOS, there is now a desktop app that can be used as a front end to Chat GPT-4o. [ that is 4 followed by the letter "o"]

It works great. Cost is $20/month for the Plus. A Windows 11 version of the Desktop version is expected by the end of the year. The base version of the MacOS base version is actually free now.

Has anybody successfully gotten Chat GPT-4o to work on their phone? I paid for the plus subscription, however, no matter what I query it with, it replies "I'm sorry, our systems are experiencing heavy load at the present time, please try again later". That's not worth $20 a month to me.

They can keep making these already humongous AI supercomputers larger and larger, limited only by the power they need to consume. In fact Zuckerberg was talking about the possibility of a 1GW super-computer that would need its own nuclear reactor to power it - and said that building the power infrastructure, due to regulations, would take many years. And so, power consumption is the main constraint on the size and intellligence of AGI computers.

But we will drive AGI to become an all-knowing God - with time. I suppose mankind will adapt with time.

And oh yes, that reminds me of what Sabine Hossenfelder said about the oceans boiling in 400 years from accumulated heat dissipated by human activity.
