Citi Group Watch List - Is there any way to get off?

Did the fax also demand your S.S.#, address, birth date, mothers maiden name, bank acount balances, and account transfer numbers?

No, all they wanted was a copy of my license but they ask me to update my contact information, if there were changes, no SS. I always use a TIN anyway. They [provided an e-mail address. I sent the license copy through e-mail but no response. Even doing that bothers me with all the identity theft. Since I was not aware I was on their approved list, it makes me a little suspicious.

I had an appraisal altered, once that I know of. Not sure if the borrower did it or the mortgage broker because the loan was with a new lender who was calling to ask if I did the report and if I would transfer to them. Something stirred my suspicions so I asked her to send me a copy. When received there were changes in value, dates, etc. I never heard anything more from anyone but now wonder how many times reports are changed.

So why did you do that?

Communicating with Citi Mortgage about black listing

A lender client gave this to me today after a conference with Citi. It is the address to write to if you want to protest being included on their "ineligible appraiser" list.

CitiMortgage, Inc.
Attn: Legal Department
6300 Interfirst Drive
Ann Arbor, MI 48108

There are 7500 names on their U.S. list. That's approximately 13% of certified residential appraisers if I did the math correctly.

They will not contact you back.. trust me. the best way to get a hold of them is to find the name of the person that sent the letter and add 'Citi.com" to the end of their name.
