Clutter In A Home

but do you ever put the report in subject to status to have the clutter removed for safety concerns?
It is personal property. Caveat it away for in house, but FHA would call for removal since you can't see the floor, walls. I have seen termites get in hardwood floors under boxes of junk. But the termite problem basically ruined the entire home.
 
I hate appraisers as 95% of the public agree.. Get back to value and not all these other non-sense or PC correct issues lead us.
 
I am an UW and have a question regarding a home that is full of clutter. I am looking at an appraisal and there is clear evidence of a hoarder in the home. The living room, bedroom and kitchen reflect a ridiculous amount of clutter to the point that it would affect proper access for fire or ambulance safety. Also, the kitchen has such a large level of clutter that it could pose a safety hazard.

The appraiser states "the home was found to be cluttered with a large amount of personal property but no physical or functional inadequacies".

I am sure that you guys have seen it all in regards to this one but do you ever put the report in subject to status to have the clutter removed for safety concerns?
iI state that not all areas of the subject interior could be observed due to the larger amounts of personal property. The appraiser has not performed an intrusive inspection of the subject and has reported only what is readily observeable.

Unless I see what i believe is cosmetic inadequacy or needed repairs, that is all i state. But i do state whether or not there are cosmetic issues to the physical property, or needed repairs to the physical property. I do not appraiser house keeping.

No.

For the correction of true safety issues, especially if they affect the value, yes.
