Looking for an easy way to store unused comp home photos via address for future use. Using ACI. Suggestions?

I have not used Google Earth in a very long time, but they had a feature on there where you could upload photos with GPS capability. Just type in the address or a keyword attached to the photo and the images would come up pretty fast. With this being someone else's property you could run into some privacy issues though, even though the picture is taken from a public street pov.

I use windows 10 and save my comp photos in my work files by address. I can search my work files by address for my comps and then drag it into the report.

Export comps into ACI Research prior to closing a report. If you do, then typing the comp's address into a report should bring up that property's characteristics (including photo) and give you the option to autofill it into the report.

I am not sure if all of the forms have that feature though. UAD forms, pretty sure yes.

As others have said, ACI automatically creates a comp database as long as you export when you close out of the report. Then when you type in an address into the grid it will automatically ask you to review your comp in the database and auto populates in there for you with a clear and replace function.

What if the sale/photo is not employed as a comp?

I believe the OP wants to access photos of sales not employed as comps....

How often do you use the same comp in more than one report?
I hardly every do. I probably can count on one hand the times per year I use the same comp in another report.
I use Total, so of no help to the OP using ACI

I'm a commercial appraiser and use the same comparables quite a bit. I store pictures in a picture folder on our server W:/Pictures/2019/Main, 123456_Anywhere. When I'm writing up a comparable sale or a lease on a property I've visited I will sometimes reference one of these pictures. I can find them by doing a search for 123456_Anywhere. I've rarely used the same comparable sales for residential properties.

One of the very few benefits of rural appraising is the necessity to re-use comps. I cover a small town surrounded by nothing for 20 miles in 2 directions and another state (and Ohio River) in the other two. This town has about 15 sales per year, fairly heterogeneous too. I usually have 2-5 comps to pick from, even going back 3 years, all of them having been used before in other reports.

To OP's question--I can't help with ACI, but as suggested, just name the picture(s) the street address, and save them in a folder on your PC. I started doing that and have had some hits, so its a time saver. Don't have to re-drive those comps that I saved that way. This doesn't necessarily import them into your software's database, although you may be able to configure it to search that folder as well. But even if not, it's easy enough to look if a comp photo is needed.

I have folders of the photos seperate from any software mainly because I need seasonally accurate photos, meaning more than one photo per comparable, I too am in a rural area so I'm constantly getting the latest sales and listings. Keeping a photo database independent from form software is the only way to go
