The Indiana Appraisal Continuing Education Cycle is not in sync with the Appraisal Foundation Continuing Education Cycle. The Indiana cycle ends on 6/30/2010 but the Appraisal Foundation cycle ends on 12/31/2009. This means that to be compliant with the Appraisal Foundation, Indiana appraisers must complete the 2008/2009 USPAP Update class by 12/31/2009 (even though our Indiana cycle does not end until 6 months later).

I'm amused by apppraisers who wait until the date that the current (for whatever period) USPAP is about to expire prior to actually completing the USPAP Update course.

I am not amused at this turn of events. This the first I have heard of this latest licensing problem that appraisers have to put up with.
