Sat through my bi-annual, butt numbing experience called continuing education this past week-end. Got more "education" than I expected. Discovered that there are those who can simply pay the course fee, show up at the start of the day, sign the attendance sheet and then LEAVE! Just be sure and show up at the end of the course to grab the completion certificate and escape before anyone notices. Shame on 'em!! Shame on the instructor for allowing it!! And to make matters worse, these are the same people who are taking money out of your pocket by.......well...you know!!

John,

You really do need to file a complaint against that school. I've only heard of this, never had the chance to see it, personally know it happened.

Please, do file a complaint!!!!! The FREAB will pay attention!!!!!

Actually, it's the people who skipped out on the training that I'd like to report, but I don't know their names. They're the ones I was referring to as "taking money out of your pocket". The instructor is surely to blame also, but, I figure that, with "Distance Education" and "Online CE" on the immediate horizon, they see that this is probably the last time they'll be conducting classroom trainings.

They could not have gotten away with it without the instructor's OK. I've never taken a class where the instructor allowed this. I have heard about them from other appraisers.
