how do you compute "pro rata" share of each lient attributable to the unit

as asked for on the form??

It is allocated by the number of shares held by the unit owner divided by the total number of outstanding shares for the co-op. Pro rata is pro rata

Total complex underlying mortgage divided by total amount of shares times your individual unit shares will give you the pro rata of your unit.

Example:
Underlying Mortgage $1,000,000

Complex has 100,000 shares.

Unit has 1000 shares.

Pro Rata share for the subject would be $10,000.

here is they way i do it, for that exact question on the form.

the pro rata share of each lien is the number of shares for the subject unit divided by the total number of outstanding shares for the corporation.

recent example:

subject unit shares: 510
total outstanding shares for the corporation: 66,319

pro rata share of each lien attributable to the subject:

0.00769

If the underlying mortgage is $2,500,000 - then the subject's portion would be $2,500,000 x 0.00769 = $19,225
