Corruption in the Bronx

No corruption, just wildly differing opinions of value :Eyecrazy:

Of course the independent appraiser has gained credibility by using larger vacant tracts in the Bronx vs. smaller lots in Manhattan that were used by Finance to establish their value.

MBD, your header reminds me of the movie "A Bronx Tale" (Robert DeNiro 1993)

Not surprising, you need some balls to do an appraisal for any of the parties involved, it's just not worth the crap you get after being involved....

I am not a general appraiser, but I have an idea what NYC vs. Bronx land is worth, will the DOS investigate how the appraiser utilized comparables from NYC for this Bronx property? I hope so....

In other news:

New York, NY - A New York City police officer was stripped of his gun and badge Monday after he was caught on video slamming a cyclist in motion to the ground for no reason apparently.

And I applaud the swift action of the NYPD....

I guess if he is not fine, he does not belong between the finest...

It's a tough assignment. Location, while obvious important, isn't the only factor. The special use of the property has to be considered.

I presume everyone has seen this clip. Of course we can't know if there's anything that changes things off-camera, but it sure is ugly.
