Countertops terminology

Be careful about using brand names (i.e. Pergo, Corian, etc) because if your subject did not have that specific item before the appraisal it will soon after. I am aware of cases where appraisers, real estate agents, etc where held accountable for improper descriptions.
 
So does a Pergo laminate countertop (( LOL )) add 10% or 20% to the value of a home,
versus Formica, or Quartz, or Silestone, or Real 2" thick Maple ButcherBlock? :flowers:
Maybe it's more fruitful to take a photo or two, and note in the report that
the property has (maybe) "...high-end kitchen cabinetry and built-in appliances..."
