Cracks on Plaster Walls

Were all those cracks on one wall?
BTW: Rule of thumb is that the stressor that's creating the crack is located at a 90 degree angle to the line or direction of the crack.
Those cracks say roof trying to go UP to heaven (joke) or foundation settled.
.
Do the cracks showing on the pictures match your description? These cracks were in different rooms, dining rm, living rm, bath, bedroom, etc., all thin yet notceable and scattered.
FYI the agent told me that the previous homeowner passed away (he/she was an elderly) but I hope the construction of the house didn't have anything to do with it! I don't want to get sued down the road because somebody got ill once they moved in :(

Settlement over the years. Put in some mud and repaint.

Ill from what?

Hard to tell from here, could you move the house a little closer?

BTW, to be even clearer, think of a capital "T"
if the crack you see is the top Bar of the T,
then the line that drops from the top
points to the stress, the pull,
where foundation or wall has moved

LOL Ill from the lead paint or asbestos?
No T shaped cracks here.. just randomly shaped cracks I guess from natural wear and tear.
Thanks everyone for your opinion! I really appreciate all feedback.. :)

From what you have described you can do As-Is but must do it with Extraordinary Assumptions.

That would be ideal - However:

If the report is being completed on one of the Fannie forms with CB's 1 thru 4 then it would need to be either "as is" or "subject to" inspections based on the EA's in place that the issues do not require repair.

If the issue is such that you feel the need to incorporate an EA rather than just disclose, possibly recommend an inspection, and proceed "as is" then CB4 should be checked. It's a judgment call in some of these cases but you can't have it both ways on these forms.

Oh another good advice! Thanks 23Degrees :)

It always gets me that we're suppose to freak out over lead paint or
asbestos in popcorn ceilings. Recently took a train trip through the midwest
and observed all the coal trains and coal fire electric generation. One
part per million of coal is uranium. The US still gets 50% of their electricity
from coal, hence 5 tons of uranium and 12 tons of thorium each year per
plant that we all eventually breath in. And so GE is going to put up those cute
little charge stations for GM electric cars? And where's that electricity going to
come from? Green BS.
