Ok, did every thing in the handbook, the local MLS tech is on vacation and the girl I talked to was clueless....

...I'm tryin to download search results to a spreadsheet. Figured somebody else is using an Innovia MLS and could maybe fill me in?

I had to make changes to internet explorer to make it work. Try the Innovia people-that's who walked me through the settings. Above the next button on the left of the screen you should see a pull down menu that has Oneliner Display as the default setting. Change that to spread sheet DL. After it opens, save it as an Excell file.

How are your trying to download them? That would be a start. The MLS system I use that is Innovia-based has several "export" options, 2 that sound to me like they would work just fine: 1) MS Friendly Export (produces a .dat file) and 2) ASCII No Photo Export (pipes "|" delimited ASCII file I think). Also does several other data exports as well as several variants of PDF exports.

Ours is setup to show in the "Residential" search, and appears as a second drop down option set just below the drop down option set for sorting the results. It's the one that defaults to "Oneliner Display"...the export options are below "Oneliner Display" in the list of options. I would start with ASCII Export and tell Excel that the pipes "|" (Shift - \ (forward slash)) symbol is the delimiter. Just remember what you named the exported ASCII file and where it was downloaded to.

Our MLS system has no "spreadsheet" export option listed. But importing ASCII is simple...it is raw text-based data and should dump in Excel or any other spreadsheet or database application with no issues.

In the dropdown that defaults to "Oneliner" I have a "MS friendly DL" and a "Spreadsheet DL", I've tried both.

It just says "loading" and after a minute or two bounces me out.

I'll try the ASCII.

Thanks for the tip.

Robert, I had the same issue. The Inovia tech had me make a few changes to internet explorer and it solved the problem.
