If we are to take them at their word then I think they're more likely to want to withdraw the safety net (and let these companies take the loss on their head) than to grow the level of regulation and enforcement. But, perhaps they don't mean what they say.

But Trump wants to eliminate regulation and enforcement. Not increase it.....appraisal regulation costs $$$ and is the whole point of DOGE. To dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies. That's the ASC which the ASB, AQB, and TAF are under.

Once again, it'll be interesting to see how important home valuation is to the Trump Administration.

Musk & Ramaswamy could view appraisers as antiquated and scrap the whole thing. They could view AI, collateral underwriter, and AVM's as the future of valuation.
