Dell Venue Pro 8 $99 Tomorrow only*

I know you don't have a crystal ball but do you think they may put the larger 11" tablet on sale before Christmas?

I was on the microsoft web site at about 10:15 eastern and they were $199. I just checked at 1pm and they were back up to $299.

I really don't know about the Venue 11 Pro sale, not do I have any advance info on any of their other sales. The info I linked to came purely from being on a lot of "feeds" (most of which I don't seem to have the time to follow up on) and so I just happened to see it - a rather random event. Since today is the first official day of these sales, I don't have a good feel for knowing how to find out things in advance, but it seems that it is possible since today's thing was known as far bask as late last week by some writers. About the only thing I can suggest is to check the store link at midnight and see what pops up.

Obviously, you have to be quick to take advantage of these super deals. You can imagine that it'll only get harder since the word will spread and those who missed out on today's deal will certainly make it a point to be more aggressive on the following days.

If I find out a way to get an inside track, I'll let you know. After I get one myself and get all of my immediate family members get theirs, there might be 2 or 3 left ;-) Just teasing. I'm pretty full on Tablets today and the only ones I'll likely buy soon are either first run examples of a couple of early sample units I am testing and some other devices for staff that aren't likely candidates for even being on such a super sale in the first place.

While on the VP11P, I should be posting some pix and thoughts similar to the ones for the VP8P: http://appraisersforum.com/showpost.php?p=2429578&postcount=177. If I am able to carve out the time tonight, I'll so them from home. FWIW, I think the VP11P is a pretty good alternative to the Surface Pro for most appraisers...

It's not $99, but.

... the original $99 deal was for just a few lucky early adopters, and it went to $199 almost immediately, which I thought was a good deal.

I noticed that Tiger Direct had the Dell Venue 8 Pro on sale for $199 today.

See my previous posts in various threads on this device. Overall, I like it.
