Desktop Appraisal Format

Doing a desktop is a business decision pure and simple. I was offered a chance to do them years ago but decided to check with my E & O carrier. They said no way would they cover me if I didn't at least observe the exterior of the subject and comparable sales so I didn't give the idea any more thought. As a precaution, you might want to check with your E & O carrier B4 proceeding. Keeping my fingers crossed, I'm able to stay busy without doing desktops.

I think someone was hired to recruit people to do this and was trying to be creative. It wasn't thought out. Kind of like a LO from one of the coasts trying to do a 90% LTV cash out in Ray's rural WI based on an AVM. It just won't fly but he doesn't know any better until he pulls the AVM trigger.

These desk tops are part of my retirement plan. When I buy my retirement property in new zeland I can supplement my income from overseas with these and the appraiser assisted AVMs. I can complete them on my laptop from the beach while enjoying a cold beer and deliver them over the web. :rainfro: :dance:
