"device Not Ready"

For the past month or so, when I put a digital camera flash card in the SanDisk, I get screen message, "Device Not Ready".

Can't open it with anything unless I reboot the computer. And my computer requires about 3 tries before it will boot all the way up. This is a big waste of time. What is wrong here?

BTW, have another disk reader. Get same message with it. The card reader is assigned to drive G: Can't open reader with Windows Explorer, My Computer, AC DSee, and two other simila programs.

Anyone else have this trouble? Possible solution?

Tom,

dont reboot. Just unplug your USB and then plug it back in. May take several times but it will eventually be fine.


Mine did that for awhile, then it just stopped and now it does it once in a great while.

You might try reformating the card in your camara. Also you may want to uninstall the Sandisk and reinstall it, also make sure you driver is upto date. The latest drivers are on the Sandisk site at.
