That's what I recall happening. I had been on their panel since 1997, prior to their wholly owned subsidiary AMC Landsafe and later the Borg Corelogic, etc. I don't remember the details, but I was contacted through appraisalport by Bank of America when they parted with Corelogic and after several days was put on their panel through/on appraisalport. I don't get much volume, but get the occasional HELOC and REO. I miss the good old days with them, the branch mangers would order appraisals and equity lines direct and there was very little hassle. I remember 2 of their branch managers well, they sent me a lot of business and they were smoking hot. They thought I was hot too, of course that was a few years ago, time takes its toll.I remember hearing that around the beginning of 2023. They left corelogic and started instead using appraisal port with their own panel.
So here's where the PAREA graduates are going to go.Anyone get an email from BOA indicating they are going to go do direct engagement and starting a "new" fee panel?
No, no scam or dangerous links embedded.Did the email also have an "include your SS number, DOB, address, CC number and then click here" button?
But to answer your question...No. I can't imagine why they would want to start down that path when they have a get-out-of-jail-free card (AMC) separating them from the peasants.
Maybe just now trying to recruit in the region I am located within. Fairly rural in nature.Well, at the risk of "letting the cat out of the bag", they have been one of our BEST direct lender clients (best clients period) for about 3-4 years now (ever since Corelogic got out of the AMC biz) ... doing another one of theirs tomorrow. Old news.
