Direct Lender v AMC

Question for all of you Direct Lender only members....

Why would your direct lenders add to their panels (other than to replace a retiring appraiser)....
Especially as it seems that this year could see a major drop in volume....

I work for a mix, but they could also be unhappy with other appraisers but didn't want to get rid of them when it was busy or like to have people on standby. Could be a referral, sometimes people switch companies and know your work. No doubt it will be harder when its slower but I still get lenders coming to me. Last one I added came to me from a referral.
