Discount for a "NO CONTACT" inspection

I think the hardest part of my job is the visible stress the person I meet during an inspection has on their face and other manipulations. The hazard of walking into a Covid 19 situation is also stressful. Just loving these new homes with no people being sold like hotcakes. I actually do charge less for that bank that gives me all this new construction work. Also, everything is extra stressful when there is a purchase and agents are always riding the line. Would it be unethical if we offered a amazon card to people for a no contact inspection? While I often enjoy meeting property owners and they are mostly very nice, it takes it's toll. It affects my productivity and frankly I am not being paid for public relations. How much would it be worth to a property owner to leave during an inspection? How much is it worth it to just do your job and get in and out of there?

Is $50 dollars enough for my health that could be affected for six weeks? Six weeks of no work... Even if you think it's just a "bad cold" you know this could devastate you financially.

My new way to quote... My fee for a full inspection is $600, my fee for a No Contact full inspection is $550. Turn around time for No Contact is 3 days, full contact four days...

Rather confusing posts....
Are you going to give a $50.00 discount to the lender/client as well as another $50.00 discount via GC to the homeowner/agent?
Total of $100.00 discount?

I don't go into occupied homes by myself with no one home for a refi, that is just creepy. You are setting yourself help for other type of problems, what if they claim something is missing or broken after your inspection, etc? I will make an exception for a purchase appraisal, but still try to avoid it if possible.

So you want to give an Amazon card to a property owner to leave the house ? Just ask them to stand on the patio.

New homes selling like hotcakes - does every single " appraisal" makes sale contract price?

There is no such thing as a no contact inspection, what does that even mean - either an appraiser inspects interior for a 1004 form or the product is a covid exception approved by client 1004 desktop or ext 2055.

One can make inspections safer by asking occupants to wait outside or stay in one room and move more quickly though the house, wear a mask and face shield
One could also make inspections safer by wearing a full body suit, a gas mask, slippers, gloves, and goggles...

On the contrary - seems like pretty solid marketing to me. Unlike some other folks on the forum (no names mentioned, J), I think it's poor taste to tell others what they should and shouldn't do in their personal businesses. Were I to potentially procure a steady stream of new construction appraisal work from a bank that I believe is easy to work with, I'd certainly consider offering a discount.
And Amazon Gift Cards?

I used to feel that it was creepy, but now I don't care. I have been in plenty of homes when the owner is not there and no one ever accused me so I am not worried about it. I changed my mind on the rebate as I don't want to appear to be giving kick backs and decided that it was better if I quote it out. And for all you people who never hear of a "No Contact" transaction, this is what GRUB HUB and AMAZON do when it's prepaid so no one gets sick. I was thinking we also could have a "No Contact" appraisal.

One of the more idiotic posts today and it is just Monday.

Stop offering discounts esp for new construciton work , be a professional or go home...offering an Amazon card can be construed as a bribe - unbelievable
No a bribe has to exceed $500.00 dollars :) LOL

I don't know this thread had my head spinning and none of it really made sense to me but maybe it's the heat :)
