Disto error

I am getting a 290 error on the disto x4-1. Does anybody know what that means?

My D810 has been freezing up and i can not turn it off to reset. I have to wait the 10 min for it to auto shut down

Roll it along the side of the house and you won't have that problem.

remove a battery for a second. or brick it and buy a bosch for $100. my disto was junk.

That's one of the drawbacks to the 810, it's somewhat bulky & the built-in battery cannot be removed in the field. No easy way to reset it. The touchscreen can be a hassle as well, too easy to bump it and get yourself into some weird mode. I find the Disto X4 and the 330i preferable to my 810.

I pick up wheels left by other Appraisers in the front yard. Still have one in the trunk but I bought a small Bosch from Home Depot as a back up. Anyway they have a replacement program for the Disto. the X4 has worked good but I don,t use the bluetooth
