however, they are apparently important to your Client.. your customer.

Doubtful. If they aren't relevant to the opinion of value, aren't laid out in client requirements and don't promote the public trust, then they are, by definition, useless and a waste of your time as a professional.

Again....an opportunity to educate the client on what they actually need

king, you are too funny. i would love to listen to you educating your doctor, or car mechanic. i guess your stick is bigger than their stick. have you tried educating a HUD FHA reviewer yet.
i wonder who would come out with more black and blue bruise marks on them after that exchange.

You are welcome to do that. Sometimes the Client will tell you 'Oh... Okay'. Most of the time you will spend time trying to convince them and failing. You will end up either complying with their request... one which doesn't violate any part of USPAP... or you well tell them to take a leap. Either way, the Client won't be happy with you.

Seriously? You two do realize YOU are in charge of your business and end product, right? (Also in charge of decisions about your body and car, but whatever). Your clients get away with bossing you around because you let them.

A client that allows employees to make unnecessary and irrelevant requests at your expense doesn't respect you as a professional. Why would you continue to roll over for them?

Some prefer that their clients author their report, leaving them to only add their signature.
