Do underwriters actually read reports?

Got a request today for revisions on a report. Seven items. Six were answered with, “this was addressed in comments on (various comments)”. The seventh was “provide bath photo for unit 2”. Ok, this was my fault. I labeled bath 2 as bath 3. Still, if the UW actually glanced at the report it should have said, “fix bath 3 to bath 2”.

Anyone have a client using underwriters from the C squad

Most time they use software read or use keywords to search. Probably it is a outsourcing underwriter oversee? Like in Asian?

It was the bath of UNIT #2. It was a 3 family.
Would have helped if you had said that to begin with.

I like just telling them to read the report as suggested. What I've usually done is revise the report to add something like, "As clearly stated in the comments on page xx of the report... " then I copy, paste, and bold what I already said... and of course, change the date of the report.

I agreee with what you just said. But why make requestor look stupid with 'clearly stated' and bold. Maybe our reports are too big to find info. I rarely saw a report organized properly to find anything. And if you irritate me, i will only ask for more stupid stuff to irritate you more, because i am sadistic. Learned long ago about sarcastic reply. Now. just answer it, then forget about it.

I said.. that's what I do. I'm not telling anyone else to do it that way. I can hope that a little bit of burn might cause them to actually read the report before they ask for revisions. Or at the least, use word search to find something they didn't see.

As for asking for more stupid stuff from me... someone can try. I don't make many mistakes in my work. When I do, I own them and correct them ASAP. The go to the top of the stack. I do my job. I expect others to do theirs. When they don't, and they try to have me fix their failures, they get pushback.
