A beer three or four times a year after stacking hay for a day or shoeing horses.
Wine, a glass, two three times a month with dinner. Most of the time this is when we are out to dinner with friends.
Whiskey, may be once or twice a year. But it got to be a good sippen whiskey.
Now back in my pup days, it was a different story. Lost all my clothes one night and ended up at the Many Glaicer Hotel with just my hat on and boots, on the back of my guide horse. Cowboys told my wife and the district ranger that I had lost my clothes at the cat house over on Duck Lake on the Res. The last thing I remember that night real clear is the Blackfoot Police were helping me out of the Bears Den at St. Marys. besides that I never knew there was a cat house over on Duck Lake.
Or the time that Mac McKellip and I rode home from the Rulo, NE. rodeo in the back of the two horse trailer with our two doggen horses to Lee's Summitt, Mo. That was one hell of a ride. I have all the respect for a horse going down the road in a horse trailer. That was the same weekend the X praded her mother and all her friends by the bathroom door while I was on my hands and knees praying to the porcilin throne. She was saying "Just look at what I married". come to think about it I didn't have anything on again but my hat.
Had a horse for 39 years. Old Smokey now he did like his beer. You could set a bottle in his lips and he would tip it up and chug a lug till it was gone. Didn't matter the brand.
