Do you guys calculate bay windows GLA?

Do bay windows that stick out say 2ft x 5 ft count as GLA? Do you guys include them in your sketch?
 
If the bay extends all the way down to the finished floor, then it is GLA.
 
I agree with Rex. One could argue that if it has a seat it could also be called GLA.
 
If it is just a window that pops out, no. If the frame of the house pops out with or with out sitting area, yes.
 
To the floor yes. Box windows, or windows with a seat no, unless the seat lifts up and there is storage to the floor.
 
Yes, if the frame goes all the way to the floor. Otherwise, no.
 
Yes on bays..no on Bows which are the other type being mentioned here.
 
What about fireplaces?

Chimney framing on the outside? Include?

Chimney on the inside? Exclude?

If you can't walk on it, it ain't GLA (as long as it meets other ASTM standards).
