Does anyone use Meta Ray-Ban glasses for inspecting?

I mainly want to buy it for the hell of it, but I’m curious if anyone uses it for inspecting and taking pictures/video. Plus, I could write it off.

Can't say I know of anyone going down this road. But my sis-in law's boyfriend develops VR programs for oil and defense industries. He walked me through some of the stuff he's worked on, it's amazing and a world ahead of clunky scan to sketch apps our industry can't seem to get right.

The Meta Ray-Ban glasses look like real glasses that take pictures and video and have some AI features to them though it’s not like those big VR headsets though those new Samsung ones look cool af

Let me know if they really work.
My daughter's boyfriend works at Meta and can get me the glasses at a discount.

Hook a brother up I want Ray-Ban Meta 2’s. I’ve always enjoyed your insightful and educational posts. Sometimes I feel like we are one of the same.

He uses a headset, IIRC Meta 3, can't say that's what the techs use in the field. I was able to walk around a piece of equipment, in one hand was a virtual iPad that was internet capable (but I think limited access), loaded with manuals, and they are working on integrating an LLM into the system. And there was an avatar standing off to the side that can be used by an instructor or another mechanic to interact.

For those who know almost nothing about photography, the specs might sound impressive: 500 photos at 12MP resolution, batteries last up to 8 hours, with 20 minutes to charge to 50%.

1. These are definitely not for professional use. They are toys.
2. The dynamic range is terribly low.
3. Moderate to high noise in low light.
4. Skippies WILL love it.

Professionals: Get a Canon R6 or equivalent. Excellent for Real Estate. Certainly good enough for appraisers. The best professional real estate photographers will likely have an R5 Mark II or III, or equivalent Sony or Nikon.

Hey Buddy, RCA says not to waste our money on these glasses.

personally, idc about appraisal pics as long as they are wide angle (these are) I can free up a hand and can record if needed. I'm certainly not hanging the big azz camera around my neck but if you do and like it, cool. I like making POV cooking vids etc as well and the Chinese junk I've tried are garbage.

Refurbished META 1's were on sale for $179 but sold out fast. I'm not spending $450 on the 2's just for extended battery and 2k video the 1's are fine.
