Wrong- its just common in Florida so you dont know the difference. A Regular AC has a Separate Heating Unit-Furnace: Below is what a Combo AC/Heat ( Heat Pump ) is.regular AC has it does not have to be a heat pump
A heat pump can heat and cool ) but a regular air conditioner cannot heat. which is the primary difference between the two HVAC systems. An air conditioner is typically paired with a furnace to provide heat during the cold months.
