Just received the following revision from client
"Please comment/note if there are any applicable states or local codes that require CO detectors. If required, photo must be included or comment made there is none present.". I commented that I did observe them to be present at the time of my inspection, but now they either want a statement claiming local/municipal/state codes do not require them or photographic proof.
I'm aware that a landlord must provide CO Detectors for any rental properties, but the subject is a condo occupied by the owner/borrower. Unfortunately, the owner will not be back in town for over a month. Looking for the path of least resistance....Obviously, do not want to make a misleading statement, but won't have access to the property to take my own photos as proof for the client anytime soon.
Any advice or insight would be extremely appreciated.
Subject property is in the City of Dallas.
