Does Wintotal Aurora support

the legacy versions of Apex?? Ive registered my legacy version 2 on Wintotal but when I click new sketch, Apex 4 keeps coming up and only works in demo mode. How do I get Apex version 2 to work on Wintotal Aurora? Thanks.

I'm glad I saw your post. I just installed the June 17, 2008 update to Aurora a couple of hours ago but had not used it yet.

In the docs it showed an option to turn off merging flyouts, so I went into the configuration, since that was a feature I don't use. While there I had looked thru other options and had noticed under the Sketch tab that there were options for 'Legacy' Apex 2 & 3. Knowing that, I went back in so I could list the steps for you to get there and enable your Apex 2.

What I found was my Apex 3 would not work even when enabled. It would just erase my bullet point check mark. I opened a file in my test folder, tried to edit the sketch and it promptly trashed it along with giving a couple of error messages. I noticed it was claiming to be running Apex IV but would not save a new sketch either.

So, all that to say that I don't know how to help you, but if it was working before the update and now it is not then I believe the update is the reason.

In my case it was a matter of editing C:\Windows\alamode.ini and
Adding a new heading of [APEX] and
A line under that of TimeOut=120000

I was getting error messages 12126 & 12124 followed by a message saying my Apex was not integrated. This is the same version that has been working just fine for a couple of years.

To be honest, it really pi$$es me off that I can have a program working perfectly day in and day out and the those ba$tards change something that totally f*cks up my system and causes delays in my business. The worst part is I can't charge them for my lost time.

Sorry, rant over. Hope the links above help you. Supposedly Apex 2 will work with Aurora.

Thanks Rufus. I went through the documents and just had to go to downloads to get Apex 2 on the system. You would think if its showing your license thats registered as a version 2 or 3 it would figure it out. After doing this it still reverted to Apex 4 in demo mode but it eventually "clicked" and works fine. I wont touch it now. Thanks again.
