This is for personal reasons, not relating to any report I am working on. If anyone has appraised dog day care centers, could you please share with me the gross income and sale prices you found? Thanks!

Can't help you on specifics, but a friend uses one when she has to be away all day or overnight. Pricier than a kennel, but according to her, worth every penny. Her dogs come home healthy, happy, no fleas, no mange - and the place is booked ahead for months.

A friend of ours puts their pug into a doggy day care every day. I believe it is $10 a day. They drop it off at about 8am and pick it up around 5pm. The dog comes home worn out and sleeps all night, whereas before it was so hyper from not playing throughout the day it would keep them up at night.

Tim .. I suggest you call a doggie care in another state and see if they will help you with ideas ... locally im sure your competetion wouldnt be willing to ... but someone from another state mgiht share with you some numbers in general and ideas ... its a place to start anyway.

Excellent idea!

When given the correct oppertunity and approached properly, people cannot help talking about themselves and how smart they are in making a dollar.:icon_idea:

Thanks for the info all have provided. I am more looking for any that sold, and what their sale price and gross income was. A family member is considering opening one, and I am looking to provide some general information about the valuation of similar businesses.

Central Bark is a great franchise program, about $25,000 I think. However, with the knowledge from running/owning several other companies, she could get by without having that brand name.
