I saved a fortune on CE with Calypso and their special coupons.
Then I whipped through an online USPAP in an hour flat, among other classes.
Thankfully the EO finally offered me a two year option, so I sprang for that and for the first time in two decades, paid less for insurance than years prior.
Even when I leave the industry I'm going to keep the license. It's not all that difficult.
If anyone tried to demand I make my license inactive, I'll explain the situation, and refuse to comply. It's not like a sales license, it's not doing anything. When I'm an employee, I'm not being an appraiser, so it does not matter for me to have the license. And I can still whip out singles every now and then for spare cash. Paying the software fees is going to be a thorn on that one.
Don't worry, with the new watered down multiple pathways to licensing, everyone whom was wedged out can come back in anyways. They're opening the doors big time. I'm going CG, as will most non employees, who's left anyways.
Have we talked about how incompetent the appraisal trade group managers have been for two decades yet? Important to always fit that one in.
