When Hispanics first arrived here, they often had large families. They sought large older cheap houses. It was what they could afford with their job and was a house usually with an upstairs and could have more rooms. The children of those early families are now on their own, and true to form are NOT having really large families, rather are 2-3 kids at most. So those premiums are disappearing. And many of these old large houses are now being completely transformed into SFRs and selling for a multiple of their previous prices...often remodeled by this same Hispanic community.families are smaller, so there is less demand for more bedrooms.
