Wineries are getting crushed right now as Gen Z is shunning alcohol, especially wines. For those like Chuckles, it’s a fantastic time to pick up cases that wineries have cellared for years if not a decade or more. They need the cash. You might pay a 20-30% premium for a decade old case that’s already matured and is drinkable today. With T bills at 5% it makes sense to pay the premium than cellar it yourself if wine is your thang.

Demand for fine wines are down roughly 30% from the high. The expensive boutique wineries are still doing fine, the marginal labels are the ones suffering from lack of demand.

Craft beer too. We have like one of the highest micro-brewery ratio in the country and know a few that are struggling.
