More sage advice from Anon. Gotta keep that post count up.

Are you serious? I'm sorry, but it's true. Pot Cultivation will not negatively affect (at least physically) a property. There is no serious release of chemicals. Perhaps some lights, or maybe plastic tubing for hydroponic growth.

You seem to be the one working your post count, making comments about my comments. Hypocrite.

And you know this how ???? :new_smile-l:
I met a whole group of pot growing hippys in Gunnison Colorado. They had jacked the power supply from a traffic light in the middle of no where! They were very dirty, but harmless.

Improperly wired grow lights in the attic would be a serious fire hazard, but it seems unlikely that the attic would be a good place to grow your pot. This case is much more likely to not have anything to do with drugs. It could just be someone shielding their attic to keep satellites from reading their brainwaves.

Ha, oh wow. High class individuals on that thread, for sure, and you're leading the bunch. You think that thread shows you being a good guy? A class act? A good human being? I, for once, will keep my opinion to myself but you may want to reexamine your vantage point on the moral high road. Maybe twice.

Pot house. Think about it. Water for plants, where does all the excess moisture go? In the drywall - can you say mold? If they don't ventilate very well you have a hot house effect. How can they ventilate. Large fans - holes in walls leading out of house. Sounds like a lot of potential damage from just a "pot house". If you talking about a true production it's not just a couple of plants it's hundreds that need gallons of water.

Hmmm, I didn't think of that potential problem that's a great point. I was thinking more along the lines of something like a meth house where there are dangerous chemicals that the property is exposed to.

So yeah, strike what I said before, good point Diana! Then again, how many plants can you fit in a normal attic? Enough to cause that type of moisture problem? I don't know...

Growing pot does not expose the interior or exterior to toxic chemicals. Noone dies from growing pot. People die from cooking meth since it emits toxic and explosive gases.

If one is concerned with moisture from a grow operation then one should be just as concerned with taking showers daily and keeping water in the toilet bowl.

If wiring in the attic is a concern then call for a home inspection and be done with it.

If you're concerned the home was used to cook meth then call your local police department and/or call for an environmental inspection of the property.

Funky wiring in the attic does not a drug house make.

When you take a shower does it get foggy in the room for a bit before you turn on the exhaust fan? I was really talking about a growing operation in the house itself and not the attic. How many plants do you think you can get in a couple bedrooms. Ever been in a plant hot house? You can breathe in the moisture and they have great ventilation sources. The common pot operation by a bunch of nitwits aren't going to get that high tech and do it properly so yes there is more moisture than a toilet bowl of water sitting around. Just think about how much you water you lawn to keep it green.
