Anyone use this directory? I know there are previous threads but I am wondering if there is still business coming in from this avenue?

I am subscribed to appraiserusa and I haven’t had a single request from that avenue in about 6 months. I use to receive numerous requests. I am wondering if these directories are now a waste of money due to the lack of Mortgage work. Any thoughts?

Well, I think you are hit harder than other parts of the country. Makes the comparison difficult.

Ellie Mae has not been nearly as effective for me as other tools such as appraiserusa.com.

Several of my clients use Encompass which is tied in to that portal so yes I have been using it with quite a bit of success

Has anyone feard of appraisal123.com. Just got a email from them looking for appraisers.

Before paying any directory!

Ask how any clients will know to use that directory. Make them be specific. Only a few directory websites work.

That's a good answer. I'll remeber this for all the other ones contacting me. It seems like they just trying to get a $100 out of everybody they can sucker into signing on. Like you say only a few sites are any good. I've paid for several and got nothing. Thanks again for the advice.

I knew Appraiserusa.com would work because the rank on search engines was very good.

Look for an appraiser anywhere and you will see Appraiserusa.com at the top.

Thankfully my side of the State is still decent. Its the other side (Detroit) that has put our state in a tail spin.

As for Ellie Mae, they claim their program is used by thousands of LO's nationwide. So when a LO in California plugs in a property say in Michigan, a list of appraisers pops up and they can select from the list. They have a neat demo on their site. I am just wondering if its as slick as it seems? Anybody on here on that diectory and if so do they get orders to justify $300 to sign up?

Whaddaya know. Ellie Mae isn't just a Beverly Hillbilly anymore. :leeann2:
