lol how does the value of a company drop 72% that's not public? Anyway anyone who knows about him knows it's not about money he saw a dire need to rescue the newspaper of the world from Biden Inc and Twitter 1.0 overlords he over payed for X but what's in the works will change how the world interacts online

That's my question to all these Elon haters cuz there's no way to know. Yes I get that he says stupid ****, but most autistic geniuses do. Not to mention it gets everyone talking about him, which works in his favor. On top of that EVs, battery tech, solar and remote internet would be decades behind where it is today without his input. That is a fact.
Also just to like to point out $44 billion is a drop in his wealth bucket and the amount his other brands have grown since his acquisition of TWTR is going to really PO his haters. Having control of your own propaganda source will outweigh any losses.
Why do you think Bezos bought the WaPo? Gates funds NPR and the rest? Berkshire Hathaway owns newspapers? Bloomberg? These are what you call billionaire loss leaders.

I was looking at an area with remote 'farms' and knew it had no cable or cellular, but said, oh well, there's always Starlink. I've noticed my iPhone shows the satellite icon when I'm really out in the sticks.
I appreciate that Elon paid $40 Billion to buy Twitter and restore some free speech to the US. Scary what the gov't is up to. That the gov't froze Starlink from providing internet as part of extending high speed internet to unserved areas is ridiculous.

My son has friends who work for Space X. They say Elon is down to earth, talks to them, and is a cool guy.
Some of the things Musk says are taken out of context. That's the media's job.... sensationalism. I mean...who's not going to take pot shots at the richest guy in the world?
