Elon appreciation thread

'Concerning': NASA head thinks Elon Musk should be investigated after explosive report

Is he really a US citizen in the truest sense....
I do admire his achievements....

he has to be. you cant work on rockets for the gov with nuclear tech due to international traffic in arms regulations. interestingly, hes being sued by the doj for not hiring asylum seekers (those who came at the behest of biden but not citizens yet) while hes not allowed to hire non-Americans

My guess is that the story is BS. The timing is definitely suspect along with the fact that it is Russia, Russia, Russia.

Elon Musk — who rails against 'illegals in America' — worked illegally in U.S.: report

I do admire his achievements....

looks like approximately 45 days(ish) or more he was here legally to begin with and as his vision changed and was caught up in a 'bureaucratic snafu' similar to sandy berger lmao.

anyhoo, elons disdain for illegals refers to the flood of them to forever change the political landscape of the usa to mirror californiastan to never ending 1 party rule

There are reports suggesting that Elon Musk, after dropping out of Stanford University to start Zip2 in 1995, worked in the U.S. without proper work authorization for a brief period. It's noted that Musk had initially come to the U.S. on a student visa for graduate studies at Stanford but left the program after two days to focus on his entrepreneurial ventures. However, during this time, Musk's legal status in the U.S. for work purposes would have been unclear unless he had alternative visa arrangements or had quickly resolved his status. Information from the web indicates that investors in Zip2 were concerned about his immigration status, leading to a condition in an investment agreement that required him to resolve his legal status within 45 days of receiving funds. While there isn't definitive proof that Musk worked "illegally" in the strictest sense, as immigration laws have nuances and grey areas, particularly around the time of visa transitions or applications for new statuses, it is suggested that there was a period where his work authorization might not have been clearly established or updated to reflect his change in status from student to entrepreneur. Public sentiment on X, particularly from Musk himself, shows a critical stance on immigration policies, which contrasts with the narrative of his own early career start, highlighting a complex view on immigration that might not fully acknowledge his own experiences. Remember, these details reflect what is reported or discussed publicly and should be considered within the context of legal and factual complexities.

"It's noted that Musk had initially come to the U.S. on a student visa for graduate studies at Stanford but left the program after two days to focus on his entrepreneurial ventures."

2 days, hum....
Makes me wonder about the Student Visa program....
I guessing Stanford must be an automatic approval....
Otherwise he could have made it easier on himself and just applied to UCLA.... :)

Logical and/or cynical appraisers could surmise Elon (& his brother) had no intention of staying in America legally....

Elon did grow up under apartheid so it's not a surprise that he has the "rules for thee but not for me" attitude....

Dig, I'm impressed by your tolerance for rules breaking.... :peace:

i noticed none of your posts in 'why is southern border open' indicate any issue with the costs (hidden or in your face) of illegals but Elon seems to be an issue

he paid more in taxes last year than anyone ever has $11 billion. he could have personally built 2 border walls with a bill left over but you seem fine with hundreds of billions spent on them not including the hidden costs like housing and car insurance. $518 a month for me and my daughter is ******g ********t
