Wayne, when are you going to open up the "appraisermail.com" reliable POP email service? :D

Wayne, when are you going to open up the "appraisermail.com" reliable POP email service? :D

How about tomorrow?

Tell me the specifics:

1. How much storage space do you want?

2. Do you want 1 mail box or several?

3. How much should I charge?
Per month?
Per quarter?
Per year?

If you're serious it will be open tomorrow.

Interesting proposition.

Yahoo allows up to 6 megabytes free then it's:

10 megabytes for $9.99/year
25 megabytes for $19.99/year -- Save 20% per megabyte!
50 megabytes for $29.99/year -- Save 40% per megabyte!
100 megabytes for $49.99/year -- Save 50% per megabyte!

I'm now thinking I need more than the 6 I have and was considering buying more. I'd rather pay Wayne! I know that Yahoo is pretty big and has many other avenues of income so, if Wayne charges a little more, it's OK by me. Just as long as it can send and receive a nice big appraisal that is full of additional pix.

Pamela:

From the Yahoo website:

Business Email - $9.95/month
Get the professional email solution your business needs.
Easy, affordable and professional email for your business.
Includes 5 email addresses @your-name.com with separate
25MB accounts - add more as your business grows.
No Yahoo! "tagline" and no third party advertisements.

I still think this is web based email however. I am talking about POP based (also could view on the web if desired).

I think you are talking about the Yahoo personal email which should never be used for business (in my opinion) because of various reasons:

1. The bad rep that a Yahoo email address has. Lots of spammers use fake Yahoo addresses so many people are suspicious of email they get from a Yahoo address.

2. Like Hotmail, the free Yahoo email will get through usually, however sometimes it may get lost. Their priority is with their search business not their free email. I suspect at peak times the email delivery gets put on the back burner while they are serving up millions of search pages loaded with their ads.

3. If you use a Yahoo email address for business your clients know it is free and will think you are too cheap to buy a real email account.

These are just my opinions, I think the free email accounts are fine for personal use. But not for business. I guess I am a fanatic about this but since 1998 I have made my living on the Internet and email accounts for 99% of my contact with my customers so I consider it mission critical.

Wayne,

That does make sense. I use my att account for most business email and sending reports. They just changed the address on me again and it's been such a hastle when they do that that it's been easier for me to keep up with the yahoo email. Yes, it is personal instead of business and is limited in size. I rarely get spam mail on yahoo though which is something I really hated about hotmail.

I would go with yours!

Brandon, Pamela, and anyone who expressed an interest:

Take a look at:
http://AppraiserMail.com

It is not quite ready for launch yet (I have to proof read the site), but I wanted your reaction to the packages, prices, etc.

(Thanks for the idea!)
