So it was no surprise that the COP in Belém, Brazil, delivered a symbolic nothing burger: no fossil-fuel deal. The retreat in the global warming scam is broad. Even Bill Gates, one of the most mentally deranged idiots on the planet, quietly conceded that global warming “will not lead to humanity’s demise,” shut down his climate policy office, and walked back years of apocalyptic messaging. The Net Zero Banking Alliance collapsed after every major U.S. bank fled. Shell and BP have returned to oil. Ford is killing electric pickups. Hundreds of corporations are dropping climate pledges. Australia pulled out of hosting the next UN climate summit.

Instead of reading about record heat, we read on December 9 that a Polar vortex is sending a ‘wrecking ball’ of cold air to the US. The planet’s most extreme cold air flooded into the central and eastern United States last weekend. “Some of the coldest, if not the coldest, temperatures across the entire globe will cover the central and eastern U.S. into this week,” said climatologist Judah Cohen, a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Thank God for global warming, or it would really be cold now.

According to a 2025 study (Wentai Liu et al.), summer temperatures in the major Central Asian mountain range, the Karakoram, have not warmed at all since 1851. Instead, the region has cooled by almost 1 °C since the 1980s. Thus, Karakoram glaciers have refused to retreat. Many have held steady or advanced for decades. Polar bear expert Dr. Susan Crockford says the Arctic is seeing rapid, widespread sea-ice expansion in 2025 with healthy bears showing up across every monitored region.

IDK if a retreat from a supposed scam is in the mix, but the climate trend keeps warming regardless. Warming/environmental shifts are not confined to just temperatures or visible events such as snowfall, for those who write, "It snowed yesterday/it;s 20 degrees today! Climate change is a hoax!"

I don't think anyone has ever said climate change is a hoax - or at least, if they have, they're fools. Of course the climate changes. What some folks think is a hoax is the mantra that humanity is causing it, or that we can somehow reverse it by behaving like the climate nazis think we should.

Parsing words is not the issue. Of course, the issue is whether human impact affects the rate of climate change !! The deniers parse it out to declare it a hoax

I wish it were a hoax. I truly do. However, the massive data and observed documented changes to areas not visible to us ( ocean temps, glacier melts, etc.), as well as closer to home, increase in storms and heat domes and severe weather events, and less snowfall in winter, etc., document the reality. It is traceable to fossil fuel and many other man-made causes, destruction of rainforests, etc.

97% to 99% of climatologist agree that Earth's climate is warming and that human activities are the primary cause, a consensus supported by multiple studies and major scientific organizations like NASA and the IPCC. This high level of agreement extends beyond climate specialists, with similar strong consensus found among scientists in other fields, such as 92% of non-climate scientists acknowledging human contribution to warming, notes Purdue University. I'll add that the thermal mass of concrete humans have added to cities has created micro-climates caused by humans. There are studies that show the cooling effects of adding trees along the roadside. If 97% of structural engineers told me a bridge was unsafe to drive over and 3% told me that it was fine, I'm listening to the 97% and planning accordingly. You can have global warming and record heat waves along with record colds. Global warming is the average of a bunch of weather stations and we've seen a 2 degree change in the last 50 years. I will concede that global warming alarmists have been trying to scare us for years, it doesn't release us from the responsibility of being caretakers of the earth and trying to leave it a better place for them.

J.Grant, to give you a climate change. They looked at tree rings during the disappearance of the mayan culture. The mayans were genius at collecting water from the monsoons to use during the non rain seasons. Apparently at some point, slowly over a couple hundred years the river rains that always came were apparently pushed southwards by the upper jet stream, with the mayan getting less, and less, rain each year to replenish the water holding areas that they made, needing for living.

There are so many more other factors above human factors that affect climate in the long run. Our climate time is a only spec in this time line. It's just called climate, however it chooses to act.

I've forgotten the figures, but I dimly remember that carbon dioxide outgassing from Earth's oceans dwarfs human output. I think it's much ado about nothing; we can't do anything about it except adapt.

The Mayan times did not have the intense human activity and population mass impact we have now.

Look at the cities of India and China to see how lax standards lead to unhealthy pollution levels in the air to the point where people wear masks and get lung disease.

We might want to consider that the big energy companies and oil-rich despot nations spend billions on propaganda to put forward the hoax idea. Though even some of the big energy companies see the writing on the wall and are looking for alternative sources. cold fusion might be the gtame changer

Nobody likes to talk about it, but overpopulation is a contributor. Think things are unstable now, wait till climate change produces more severe droughts and costly, dangerous weather events, displacing people-

Since we haven't had a ww3, or plagues, to bring down the over population, mother earth will find a way to do it itself. People are in places that they should not be in now. Oh look, another hurricane hitting our beach house. That's not climate change. I agree with you on most of what you said however, but not with a hard stop.
